HR Generalist

    Human Resources Generalist

    This role, reporting to the HR Manager and collaborating with other teams within the Company. The focus of the role is talent acquisition, on-boarding, training, Associate relations, administrative functions associated with payroll, benefits, Associate engagement, company culture and workforce planning. To be successful in this role, you must understand business priorities and translate them into the highest impact work. You will support the organization by working directly with our Associates, managers, and the HR team with data-driven recommendations that improve performance, retention, and the overall associate experience.

    Generalist:

    Source, recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions in a timely manner; collaborates with departmental manger to understand skills and competencies required for openings; ensure compliance with all applicable laws and policy Conduct new hire orientation and support new associate training initiatives and programs Drive and actively engage culture through positive interactions with the workforce, including a presence on the production/warehouse floor and in distribution.

    Oversee administrative process around data management including but not limited to new hire set up and Associate information management, time and attendance, payroll, training, compensation and benefits administration, I9 and e-verify completion and other similar requirements.

    Carry out all responsibilities in support of the following functional areas; onboarding, Associate engagement, employee relations, benefits support and communications and administrative compliance (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, etc.) Assure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices.

    Demonstrate thorough understanding of business strategies, competitive landscape and current, anticipated and potential future business challenges.

    Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment law Participate in developing department goals, objectives and systems.

    Partner with other HR and Company staff for event planning and activities Works collaboratively with the HR team to create hiring, retention, and attraction initiatives.

    Ability to deal directly with line management and hourly workforce to build consensus and trust Ability to work across shifts and flexibility in working hours required
