HR Generalist

    The Human Resources Generalist will assist in the day-to-day administration of HR activities in a high volume call center.  Using a positive, proactive and curious approach, you will help build and maintain a highly efficient structure that will enhance administration processes for the HR team, managers and employees.  This position’s emphasis will be on Leave of Absence and Employee Relations tracking and administration. The Generalist will serve as a resource, who will develop strong working relationships with our employees and management.     As our HR Generalist you will:

    - Receive and effectively resolve routine Employee Relations matters including standard performance and attendance concerns; draft corrective actions if applicable; advise managers and employees on Company policies and ensure consistent application of corrective action guidelines.
    - Manage high volume Leave of Absence for call center location utilizing in-depth knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and other leave laws/policies; use effective communication skills to guide employees through the leave of absence process; apply strong organization skills to keep complete records and tracking of leaves.     
    - Act as point of contact in the call center for questions regarding Paid Time Off, benefits, timekeeping and other Company policies; actively partner with HR specialty areas (payroll, benefits, compensation, recruiting, etc.) to provide excellent HR support to employees.
    - Conduct New Hire Orientation, new hire paperwork and coordinate onboarding activities with cross-functional partners.
    -May participate in conducting training programs for employees and managers (anti-harassment, leave of absence, etc.). 
    -Use in-depth knowledge of and stay up-to-date on new state and federal requirements, as well as Company policy and practice to provide advice and guidance to management.
    -Manage OSHA incident log.
    -Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.



    -B.S. or equivalent related experience required.
    -PHR or SHRM certification preferred.


    - Minimum 2 years HR generalist experience, including wage and hour and leave of absence administration required.
    - Previous experience supporting an hourly employee population (e.g. call center, fulfillment/distribution or retail) preferred.
    - Proven ability to handle proprietary and sensitive information with utmost confidentiality and discretion.
    - Highly motivated and self-directed.
    - Must have high level of interpersonal skills and be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization, verbally and in writing; must be comfortable presenting complex and sensitive information to groups.
    - Demonstrated ability to act independently upon information, communicating challenges when they arise. 
    - Must be able to prioritize effectively, manage competing demands and multiple tasks, while maintaining high level of attention to detail.
    - Strong initiative and curiosity (asking questions, being resourceful in solving problems and learning from mistakes). 
    - Strong MS Office skills. Experience with ADP WorkforceNow a plus.+
