Engaging and Empowering Your Medicare-Eligible Employees
Medicare is different from choosing health insurance from an employer-sponsored plan. Medicare and the plans that go with it can be confusing and stressful. Whether your Medicare-eligible employee decides to retire at age 65 or continue working past age 65, Medicare-eligible employees pose HR challenges.
Learning Objectives:
1. Develop a clear understanding of the basics of Medicare.
2. Understand the role of HR and the Medicare-Eligible employee.
3. Develop strategies for HR to implement that positively impacts your organization
Our speaker, Elizabeth (Liz) England, SPHR:
For over 25 years, Liz worked at several companies within corporate Health and Wellness as an employee benefits professional. Her primary responsibilities included benefits strategy, design, pricing and data analysis.
Liz is a lifelong resident of Akron, OH. She graduated from the University of Akron with an associate degree in Business Management Technology and a bachelor’s degree in Business and Organizational Communication. Liz is a licensed Life, Accident and Health insurance agent. Liz has also earned several certifications in HR, Wellness and Medicare.
Liz also serves as the Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors for the Summit County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health (ADM) Services Board and as President of Guardians Advocating Child Safety and Protection (GASP).
As a Boomer, Senior and Retiree, Liz has expanded her career to work in the health care insurance industry focusing on Medicare plans at the KAZ Company. The KAZ Company assists employers by educating their employees when turning 65 and/or joining Medicare.
