The Future of Healthcare and Technology: A look at where we’ve been, where we are, and where we're going
During our presentation we will be looking at the following:
- Where we’ve been - We will discuss what makes up a premium rate, what is trend and what employers can control.
- Where we are today - We will take a look at historical costs to today and why there may be a likely rise in premiums to meet trend.
- Where we are going - Taking a deeper dive into where we are going with healthcare through consolidation, technology, innovation and the impact of government intervention.
Introducing our speaker for August , Matthew Baker, Senior Benefits Consultant at DS Benefits Group:
Matt brings several years of experience working with small, mid-market and large employers throughout Ohio and several other states. He has cultivated extensive knowledge of employee benefit strategies, funding alternatives and health and welfare regulatory compliance. Matt employs a proactive approach with clients, providing creative and customized solutions for employers of all sizes. Matt works with several Clients providing Data Analytic strategies to help understand and mitigate risk, promote a healthier workforce and to drive negotiations with insurance carriers.
Matt brings tremendous insight into the challenges companies face in providing health and welfare benefits to their employees. He believes strongly in working with employers to help educate employees and promote the value of the benefits provided to them.
Matt sits on the Business Advisory Board for Westfield Bank. He is the Past President of SHRM-Medina County, a member of Medina County Economic Development Corporation’s Programing Committee and Member Care Committee. Matt is the Benefits Chair for the Northern Medina County Chamber Alliance, graduate of Leadership Medina County and the Greater Cleveland Partnerships GCP Lead Cohort 3 program.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Kent State University.
