AASHRM will host a panel discussion with a group of Akron area professionals who are out on the front lines of workforce readiness programs every day. The focus will be on how we can collaborate with the local businesses to connect job applicants to jobs and/or provide training for the needed skills.

OhioMeansJobs Summit County is the local, all-in-one workforce resource center and provides a full range of free services to job seekers and businesses. The Resource Room is the hub of OhioMeansJobs Summit County, offering access to job searching tools including internet-connected computers, copiers, and machines, and services for those with disabilities. OhioMeansJobs.com is the state’s gateway to local job postings and provides resources to help job seekers of all ages reach their professional goals.Workshops offer job seekers opportunities to learn and hone their interviewing; resume writing, job searching skills, and digital skills. Recruitment Events are frequently held at OhioMeansJobs Summit County and give job seekers an opportunity to interview directly with area employers.
