    Marketing Change:  A Session on Change Management

    Join us for "Marketing Change" presented by Kent State facilitator Jessica R. Thomas, MA.

    Typically communicating change within an organization is a one size fits all and a one-way experience. Announcements are made by email or the information talked about in a meeting a few times.  I call it vanilla messaging, very generic and not real impactful or comforting during times of change.  Communication is the cornerstone of a change management strategy and creating and executing an effective change communication plan is a lot of hard work.  In Marketing for Change, I will explain how to offer more flavors than just vanilla and achieve desired behavior changes by handling change communications like an internal marketing campaign. You will learn how to apply marketing best practices to your change communication planning because ultimately you have to ‘sell the change’ to your employees.

    In this session you will:

    • Experience different marketing campaigns
    • Better understand why some campaigns are more effective than other
    • Complete a worksheet that will help you determine the benefits of your change
    • Learn about the intellectual and emotional side of change
    • Understand why message packaging and delivery are just important as the message
    • Learn where to recruit change management staff
