Summit Academy Schools provide an excellent and individualized education for children with diverse learning styles and challenges due to ADHD, Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome. The schools have small class sizes, highly trained, caring, and patient general and special education teachers who provide instruction in a therapeutic environment. A specialized curriculum is designed to engage children where they are developmentally and enable them to reach their maximum potential.
The first Summit Academy School was opened in 1999 in Akron, Ohio. The School was the evolution of a group of students engaged in a therapeutic martial arts program and a support group of their parents who discussed the needs of their children who had unique learning styles. Today, 27 Summit Academy Schools, located throughout the State of Ohio, educate more than 3,100 students in grades K – 12.
