    Description

    Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Employee Engagement Specialist will focus on supporting the operation to keep team members engaged and productive. This role will help the VP, HR and site HR Manager understand current site culture, how engaged team members are (the pulse of the organization), identify areas where policies are or are not working, and, in general, improve the work environment. This role will frequently coordinate between several different departments to smooth lines of communication and ensure each group has the resources and support it needs to do its job and be set up for success.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    ·         Coordinate team member reward and recognition programs

    ·         Identify ways to validate the pulse of the site and the why’s behind it

    ·         Identify negative impacts on the work environment and provide recommendations to improve

    ·         Identify ways to improve site diversity, equity, inclusion & belonging at all levels

    ·         Support positive employee relations efforts day to day with site leadership

    ·         Contribute subject matter expertise about development of employee engagement programs; provide perspective, insights, and original ideas; take a balanced consultative and efficient approach to enable the organization to achieve measurable results

    ·         Help craft and drive culture and inclusion programs, from inception to launch and retrospective, including measurement of results

    ·         Facilitate engagement initiatives and programs that build extraordinary in-person employee experiences

    ·         Identify, establish, and maintain relationships with industry associations, groups, and partners relevant to supporting our diversity, equity, inclusion, & belonging (DEI&B) initiatives

    ·         Proactively identify risks/issues, providing solutions, resolving risks/issues, and overcoming hurdles to drive results

    ·         Educate employees on the range of resources that are available to them for personal and professional development

     

    Requirements

    ·         Bachelor's degree in HR related field, or 3+ years equivalent work experience

    ·         Experience with leadership development strategies, tools, and processes to identify employee readiness, learning needs, talent gaps, and retention risks

    ·         Strong project management, written communication, and analytical skills, and ability to influence and partner cross-functionally with both HR and the departments we support

    ·         Problem-solver who is happy to be "hands-on" in all aspects of our team's work

    ·         Proficiency with Microsoft Office, video conferencing tools, and file sharing

    ·         Must have effective verbal and written English communication skills
