     Workforce Readiness Initiative

    In today’s labor market we find employers at a disadvantage when looking for top talent due to the unemployment rate. We are also facing a skills gap that prevents us from finding the right people to meet our staffing needs.

    We want to use AASHRM as a tool to bridge the gap between employers’ needs and the necessary training for applicants to be prepared with the necessary skill set be successful.

    One way for us to do this is to become involved with all of our members to be aware of the open positions that they are having difficulty filling, the skills that are missing from the applicant pool and provide members in transition with some opportunities.

    Calling all Members in Transition! Looking for an HR Job? Worried about renewing your annual SHRM membership? We have good news for you.  As a one-time benefit to members in transition, national SHRM will waive your membership fee for one year as you look to find a new position! To find more information about this important benefit, you can contact our Membership Chairperson.

    If you bring your resume to our monthly meetings we will introduce you at the meetings and facilitate some networking opportunities for you as well.
